Hi there lovely ladies! Just to remind you all, that the first of the Hellfire Cup Chicks Rides is coming up in a tad over 4 weeks time on Sunday the 17th August - whoo hoo - cant wait to ride those trails again and catch up with the girls! So…what would be good so that Sarah and I have an idea of numbers to expect on the day - how many blocks of chocolate/bags of treats to bring ;-) - can you please reply to this post over the next few weeks if you are keen to come - even if planning to but cant confirm until a bit closer is fine. We can keep a rough track then of who to expect. We realise that many of us are busy busy with juggling so many other things going on, and that some cant confirm until closer..but put it on the calendar..on the fridge..flag it as a day out for YOU - get in early so more likely you get a ticket of leave from any snarky family members, arrange a child/dog/partner minder if need be, and come join us for some fun on the trails to beat the winter blues - you may even find some motivation to enter the event and find a team mate! ;-) All levels (as long as have basic bike handling skills), and some basic fitness to get through 25 km will help (with chocolate bribes and photo ops/selfies and rests along the way!) - and it is definitely a no drop social ride. If you one of the fitter girls keen for more of a training ride..ride part way out or home afterwards…or ride the days before and treat it more of a social recovery recon ride and to assist newer/less fit riders in their MTB journey and make some new friends. If you still a bit hesitant or want a head start on brushing up on some skills (what to do, when, why, how…!)…I am running a Womens Fundamentals Course at Glenorchy MTB Park coming on the 27th July.
