Hi to all my facebook friends. My husband Pete and a team from Close House are fundraising for CHUF (childrens heart unit foundation). They are doing the 3peaks in 24hrs on the 26th June, starting at Ben Nevis and finishing at Snowdon. SUPPORT AN ADVENTURE LIKE NO OTHER… At Close House, we pride ourselves on our incredible commitment to sport and consider ourselves as good as it gets when it comes to golf with our connection to Lee Westwood. Graham Wylie’s connection to horse racing and now the Close House team are planning to demonstrate their sporting prowess by scaling three of the largest mountains in the Scotland, England and Wales within a breath-taking 24 hours. This would be a challenge for any group of athletes but it clearly will be even more of a daunting challenge for this group featuring · Alan Graham, he’s that old he climbed with Edmund Hillary in 1953. In the fact it is rumoured that he started building his career at the base camp of Everest. · Peter Llewellyn, a natural born leader and former Royal Marine, if only for a short time. · Richard Wylie, with miles in his legs after his Newcastle to Paris cycle ride. Narrowly missing the Olympic team, Richard is the powerhouse of the team that even Sir Chris Hoy is in awe of. · Jason Ali, Sherpa Ali to his friends he is built like a Kuwaiti Pit Pony and will carry the load during the adventure up and down the hills. · John Glendinning, a recognised inspiration to the hotel industry, John is like a mountain goat with more hair on his chin than his head. · Glenn McDonald, invited along for the craic, Glenn will keep the group going in the dark times and we will follow his endless chatter. Oh yes and because he can drive · Ian Dinning, finally contributing something to society after working in marketing for too many year. He has been building up the fat reserves with some gusto and will undoubtedly find the altitude a challenge · And hopefully Simon Walsh will be joining us, if we can drag him away from his stove! He is also required to prepare the picnic. The Close House 3 Peaks Challenge will take place the 26th June which will undoubtedly push the groups minimal fitness to the very edge of human endeavour. We would like to thank Mill Volvo for their support. We are doing this to raise funds for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) at the Freeman Hospital. CHUF is a charity which means an awful lot to all of us at Close House and across the region. We would be grateful if you find it in your heart to support the Close House 3 peaks challenge by sponsoring us at: https://justgiving/account/your-pages/closehousechufchallenge Your generosity would be appreciated. If this email is not for you would you please forward to the relevant person in your organisation. The Close House Management Team
