HiQ. HiQ. HiQ. In August 2013 a weird noise started coming out of my right wheel, I didnt know much about garages as I am not from Guildford. So I bumped into this garage called HiQ in guildford, asking them to have a look at my car. After 10minutes the diagnosis was that my right CV joint was wearing of and needed replacement ASAP as it was apparently dangerous. They quoted me 100 pounds all included to fix it and make the noise disappear. I agreed and job done everyone happy! Next day I drive my car to work and when I turn the noise is back and even stronger this time. Omg I thought it was even dangerous to drive it as the technician said it so... I went back to tell them. They told me that such things happening and it might be that the Brand new CV joint they had fitted was faulty. So they replaced it again and apologized for the inconvenience. Next morning I drive to work the noise is back!!!! I thought omg something is not right here!! Went back to tell them, the manager proposed to me to leave my car there for 4 days and also told me that there might be smth else which might cost some extra cash. I cant leave my car for more than a day as I am relying on it for my work. Then my mechanic specialist friend from Greece told me that that sounds unusual as to replace a CV joint shouldnt take more than 30 min maximum. I went back and forth couple of times and to my surprise the manager was not happy to see me today. In fact he threatened me to leave the premises!!! I have never felt that victimised so far in my entire life. I was literally ordered to leave and he said and I quote: we are not touching this car we will not fix it!! I replied , but its unfinished and its rational you finish what you started because I have paid money and the car is not fixed I am afraid I have to report that to Surrey Council Trading Standards. He replied : leave right now and do whatever you want , we are not fixing it!!! Having been so unfairly treated I didnt know what to do. I mean really?? I paid 100 pounds for nothing?? The noise is still there and the car remains unfixed. This is my experience with HiQ GARAGE . If you can help me by providing options or how to go about it please share as there is no worse feeling than feeling robed, victimised and unable to do something about it .
