Hideout School, 1899 - This school is not listed on the official list of Madison County School districts, but family members say it was located in the northeast corner of Madison County, probably in the Piney Township near Kings River. The Hyden family homesteaded land in Section 21, Township 18 North, Range 25 West in 1890 and 1904; John Nunnley Hawkins homestead land in Section 28, Township 18 North, Range 25 West and this school is believed to have been nearby. This school might have been a family school since most of the children shown are related. The Hyden children listed are the children of William Joseph Hyden. The Hawkins children are the children of John Nunnley Hawkins. The Littrell children are the children of John Thomas Littrell. If anyone knows more information about this school, please let us know.
