High pressure aloft is to our northwest (over the Four Corners) - TopicsExpress

High pressure aloft is to our northwest (over the Four Corners) and to our southeast (over the Gulf of Mexico). Lower pressure is to the northeast and southwest. This places North and Central Texas in a saddlepoint (or col), often an area of active (albeit disorganized) weather during the summer. Thunderstorms are expected to develop again today, mainly south of the I-20 corridor. These storms will be capable of damaging downburst winds, and due to their slow movement, heavy rain may result in localized flooding issues.
