Higher Everyday FRUITFUL FRUIT "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit" (John 12:24) In the first year, a gardener harvested 4 gallons of strawberries - more than one man could ever eat alone. "I love sharing", says Abe, the gardener. Any gardener will be delighted at that. Every farmer looks forward to fruitful harvest after sowing. In the same way, God expects His children to grow, mature, and bear much fruit. It displeases Him when we fail to bear fruit. God has deposited enough virtues on you, and so he expects you to bear fruit. In the practice of agriculture, the seed must go into the ground and die in order to germinate, grow, mature and produce fruit. This is the principle we see in our text today. In your daily life. God expects you to die to self, sin and Satan and to live for Him through Christ. He also expects you to abide in Christ so that you can bear fruit of righteousness in your thoughts, conversation, and actions to His delight and glory. Do not abide alone, allow Christ to live in and through you. Challenge: Abide in Christ, and you will bear fruit of righteousness. Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to die to sin and live for You.
