Higher Everyday Sunday, November 17, 2013 CONQUERING CHRISTIANS Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37) God does not promise His children a life that is completely free from troubles. However, He has assured us of His abiding presence and help during the period of adversity. Paul the apostle was a faithful servant of Christ, yet he experienced much pains and tribulation. That did not decrease or hinder his consecration to God. Believers are commanded to live a life of absolute surrender to Christ and to suffer for His sake. If you have had troubles, which seemed to contradict Gods promises in your life because of your faith in Christ, you are not alone. Gods counsel to you at such time is, dont give up. You will surely overcome; you are more than conquerors. Some believers are ignorant of Gods purpose in allowing trials in their lives, while others are ignorant of Gods promises to sustain them during trials. The Lord demands continual devotion to Him in times of adversity. We must continue in love, obedience, faith and prayer with thanksgiving during the period of trials. In fact, our attitude during trials shows the kind of Christians we are. Challenge: Challenges are common experiences of believers.
