Highlight of the Day! Joni Weisfeld Role: Fool Joni is excited to return to ARTfarm this summer after playing Dogberry in last summers production of Much Ado About Nothing. Joni has been a core member of ARTfarm beginning with their first season when she played Titania in A Midsummer Nights Dream. Other ARTfarm credits include Macbeth (3rd Witch), Twelfth Night (Olivia), and As You Like It (Phoebe). Joni also directed ARTfarms production of The Taming of the Shrew. Currently she teaches Movement and directs projects, at The Hartt School of Theatre at The University of Hartford. Joni is also on the core theatre faculty at The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts where she teaches Acting, Movement, and directs productions. Joni has worked as actress in New York City and in regional tours. Favorite credits include: Hamlet (Ghost), Lovers and Executioners (Beatrice), Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), Chamber Theatre (Various Roles), and the world premier of Hunger(Christa) at RealArtways in Harford. She also directed and choreographed an all-female, movement interpretation of Medea, in which she played the role of Jason, at the 42nd Street Theatre in NYC. Joni received her BFA in Acting from The University of Connecticut where she studied with world-renowned Suzuki training expert, Eric Hill. Joni would like to thank her family and friends, and anyone who watched her babies while she was in rehearsals!
