Highlight of the day: Hearing the story of how the music of the finales of Six Feet Under (Sias Breathe Me) and Breaking Bad (Badfingers Baby Blue) came to be, but also something so simple as the story behind the commercial that arguably revolutionized the use of music in marketing - the 1999 VW Pink Moon Commercial. As a long-term die hard fan of Banksy, etc. I find it hard to believe that Im endorsing the use of music in marketing. It may be accused of emotional manipulation (thats what music is, by the way) but I think it somehow goes deeper, and comes down to what its being used for. Did those kids have this experience because they were in that car? No. Did the car still get them there? Absolutely.
