The group consists of four members; Atlas, Awestone, Schematics, and Araylius. The group was founded in 2007 and almost immediately began to do live performances. From Palm Springs to Los Angeles and even out to the beaches of Santa Barbara, AG has established an underground following through their high energy showmanship and their musics intellectual content. Avant Garde is constantly trying to push the envelope. Focusing on the everyday struggle of the human experience they communicate their own perspectives and opinions through intricate barwork and conceptualized rhyme. AG remains one hundred percent independent and, all though they are a group, each member has pursued solo projects. We hope to alter the collective conscience and we have chosen to use Hip-Hop as our vehicle to reach that destination. It is clear that after years of hardwork and determination Avant Garde is not planning on giving up. They ultimately aim to redefine what it means to be a Hip-Hop MC.
