Highs across Central Illinois will reach the low 90s today, with partly cloudy skies. Storms will make their way into Central Illinois over the afternoon hours, there is a slight chance some of those storms could become severe, though widespread severe weather is not anticipated in our area today. Tonight, lows will be in the low 70s, with showers and thunderstorms continuing. A chance for thunderstorms will exist almost every day this week, with the lowest chances on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is some slight severe weather risk through the early part of the week, but the main threat area is to the north of Central Illinois. Be aware that summer storms can form suddenly and without warning, so always be aware of any watches or warnings, and have a plan in place in case you were to need to take action.
