Hiring Now: Technology Licensing Manager - Qatar Foundation Visit Middle East Jobs >> bit.ly/midejobs Please Follow >> bit.ly/mideastjobs Job Purpose: The Incumbent will work closely with the Director of Commercialization and the Executive Director to facilitate and support technology licensing activities across all QF technical domains. The Technology Licensing Manager will be responsible for marketing QF technologies, establishing industry networks and collaboration opportunities in order to move QF technologies towards further development or commercialization. The Incumbent will also be responsible for managing in-licensing of third party IP. This senior individual will also lead in innovating systems and strategies to facilitate research & commercialization activities across QF and track QF licensing income and payment obligations.KEY RESULT AREAS Manages the technology and IP licensing functions of the IPTC. This includes in-licensing of third party IP and research materials and out-licensing transactions Work with the technology assessment team to conduct freedom to operate analysis and identify IP for in-licensing and opportunities for out-licensing QF IP. Provide recommendations to commercialization managers (CMs) on potential licensing partners and terms Work with the CMs to develop licensing templates for legal and support the CMs in developing and implementing licensing strategies for the three technology portfolios Holds meetings as necessary to review licenses drafted going out and coming in to be certain all required terms are included and understood Work with QF centres, institutes, legal and third parties to facilitate licensing transactions and manage outside counsel for licensing support Responsible for developing IP descriptions for new inventions to make the public aware of the opportunities available from the Foundation and developing strategies to market these Responsible for managing and tracking licensing income and payment obligations on the online management system Manage & develop a system to monitor licensees obligations and mechanisms for enforcing march-in Provides innovative suggestions to management and colleagues on new strategies in licensing that can increase impact and productivity and enhance the credibility of our intellectual assets Supports custom communications/media campaigns in coordination with Outreach and Public Relations sections of the division Manages situations where there are disputes arising in patent issuance, license compliance, infringement allegations or other such problems as might affect the reputation of the Foundation.
