His Power! Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection” Meditate on God’s Word! Such a short and simple verse. What would it mean if you could choose to receive this power from God each day. What would you choose if God gave you anything you desired? Would you choose wealth, power or God’s peace, wisdom and grace so that even in suffering we would glorify God “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11 Paul knew that true power resided not in fame or fortune but in God’s peace and rejoicing in the Lord, always, no matter what; “ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.” Philippians 4:4-5 True power comes through prayer and trusting God in all things; “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 Then controlling our thoughts by thinking on things that edify God and strengthen us; “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9 It is by following these steps that we receive God’s power and can say as Paul did; “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” youtube/watch?v=A6tO4vuEeo0
