His artistic life : . Mars produced songs for other artists, co-founding production team The Smeezingtons. Mars had an unsuccessful stint with Motown Records, but then signed with Atlantic in 2009. He became recognized as a solo artist after lending his vocals to the songs Nothin on You by B.o.B, and Billionaire by Travie McCoy, which were worldwide successes, and for which he co-wrote the hooks. He also co-wrote the songs Right Round by Flo Rida featuring Ke$ha, and Wavin Flag by Knaan, allowing him to work with an assortment of artists from various genres. Mars debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010), peaked at number three on the Billboard 200,[3] anchored by the worldwide number-one singles Just the Way You Are and Grenade, as well as by the single The Lazy Song. He has sold 10 million albums during his 3-year singing career[5] and 58 million singles worldwide.[6] His combined downloaded works as a singer, songwriter, and producer total over $115 million .[7] As a solo artist he has had five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and seven top-ten singles, only the second artist to do so after Richard Marx. Just the Way You Are sold 12.5 million copies and contributed to Mars becoming the best-selling digital artist in 2011.[8] In 2011, Mars was named one of Time Magazines 100 most influential people in the world.[9] In 2014, he was ranked number one on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.[10] بدأ بتأليف الأغاني في سن مبكرة، بعد أن قام بإحياء سهرات عديدة في مسقط رأسه ثم قرر ممارسة مهنة الغناء فانتقل إلى لوس أنجلوس بعد تخرجه من المدرسة الثانوية، ثم بدأ برونو بإنتاج الأغاني بعد فترة وجيزة من ذلك وانضم إلى فريق The Smeezingtons للإنتاج الموسيقي. ولقد كان توقيع برنو مارس مع تسجيلات موتاون حافلاُ ومهم جدا ، مما جعله يسجل فيما بعد لتسجيلات أتلانتيك سنة 2009 ، ولقد بدأ برنو بالظهور في الساحة الغنائية بعد مشاركته في كتابة أغاني مشهورة وأيضا مشاركته في تأدية الأصوات الخلفية لها مثل Nothin On You للمغني بوب وأغنية Billionaire للمغني ترافي مكوي ، كما شارك في كتابة أغنية Right Round لفلو رايدا مع كشا إضافة لأغنية وايفينغ فلاغ للمغني كنعان. وفي أكتوبر سنة 2010 قام برونو مارس بإصدار ألبومه الأول Doo-Wops & Hooligans الذي إشتمل على أغاني تصدرت الترتيب الأول عالمياً مثل Just the Way You Are و Grenade، كما أن الألبوم إحتل المرتبة الثالثة في ترتيب بيلبورد 200 [1] . ولقد تم ترشيح برنو لـ5 جوائز غرامي في الدورة الـ53 من الحفل الموسيقي وحصل نتيجة ذلك على جائزة واحدة هي Best Male Pop Vocal Performance اي أفضل أداء بوب لمغن ذكر لأغنيته Just The Way You Are .[2] يعرف برونو بأنه يمزج بين عديد من الأنواع الموسيقية في أغانيه ، حيث أن مغنيين مشهورين مثل ليتل ريتشارد [3] ، إلفيس بريسلي ومايكل جاكسون ألهموه في صغره وأصبح بفضلهم يجيد المزج بين عناصر البوب والأر&بي. وعالمياً أصبح برنو مارس أنجح مغني سنة 2011 كما أن 3 من أغانيه تصدرت الترتيب الأسبوعي لبيلبورد لمدة 3 أسابيع وهي Grenade وJust The Way You Are وThe Lazy Song[4].
