History Lesson: The Giants finished with a record of 94-68,first place in the NLWest and beat the Cincinnati Reds in 5 games in the Division Series thereby becoming the first National League team(8th in MLB history) to come back from a 2-0 deficit in a best of five series by sweeping 3 games in the opponents park. The Giants defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in 7 games in the NL Championship series and advanced to the 2012 series to face the Detroit Tigers . They swept the Tigers in 4 games to win their second World Series title in 3 years. ( Note the part about coming back from a 2-0 deficit). Go Tigers!
