History in the making in Victoria, yesterday Victorian Scottish Dancing Members Association Inc. (V.S.D.M.A.I.) conducted there very first Highland and Choreography Competition, this Competition has been on the drawing board for sometime now happened, what a wonderful Competition the Choreography so so enjoyable not only by the audience but by the lovely Dancers who were competing, now I hope on the agenda by V.S.D.M.A.I. for years to come. Great opportunity for not only Teachers but Dancers alike to project their talent in Choreography, also an opportunity for a solo dancer, duo or a group of dancers to choreography their own item, you know pick a piece of music it almost speaks to you to put the choreography to match it like Bonnie we Jeannie McCall who went to the Cooperative Hall just amazing as every event was, not a sound in the Hall all being engrossed in the performances. The costumes amazing, just amazing the littles dancing in a big group giving it their all, magic absolutely magic. This Choreography Competition has been my vision for about five years and now it happened, ask me if I am happy and you better believe I am. history in the making for this type of competition in Victoria or dare I say Australia. I am so so happy and the Committee say thank you to all who competed and also to the great effort of their Teachers, you as Dancers and Teachers make it happen with your entries and effort, keep it going. Thank you to Cheryl Roach for Judging and your comments to the different groups most helpful. Watch this space for our details for 2015 Calendar of Competition events that will definitely include a Highland/Choreography Competition, too successful and enjoyable not to be on the calendar for years to come.
