Hm. I feel as though this almost makes me feel...well, maybe not better for never having attended Comicon, but maybe perhaps...vindicated? Sympathetic? Either way, Comicon seems not only exclusionary, but prohibitively expensive. As though busting your ass to sell goods there, even just attending, is more a privilege than anything else. Perhaps, given how badly some vendors seem to be doing, and how artists seem to be continuously shoved aside in favor of movies and games and tv shows, it might be time for Comicon to go the way of E3 and become purely a trade show? My tune may be different if I actually attended SDCC and made a profit, but this still seems to be the general attitude of a LOT of folks in attendance. Id still like to go one day..Id just rather not put myself in debt.
