Hmmm! Plateau 2015, PDP or APC? Electorates! Party is not Religion and the adoption of a Party does not change ones religion. Jerry Usaini, Tapgun, Jimmy Cheto, O.S Miri, Dariye, Pauline Tallen, and others not accepted in PDP despite their willingness to return to the party due to someones directive or interest. Again, Someone on his own interest want the long Zoning system to change or to Start from his home zone again. And not only that, but he should be the one to decide who succeed him assuming the position of God and playing the Godfather role. Yet, the Party Structure which should have been the arbiter in this matter has also remain silence due to their fear of been sacked or for the Ghana Must Go that comes to them when needed. Zoning, I believe was accepted and adopted for equity, fairness, and all inclusive governance in Nigeria. However, since all the parties in Nigeria lacks a clear-cut ideology, defection from one party to the other does not really matters but rather, what matters is just to win the election. For this reason, I doubt if PDP want to win the forthcoming Governorship election in Plateau? Because the way in which one person handled the party affairs as if it is his personal party and therfore, detect what should be done and what not to be done pose a serious challenge for the progress of the Party in the State. I was privilege to watch on TV the celebration of the National Award given to the Governor of the State in Abuja and I saw most of the Politicians on the Plateau were in the Dinner or Reception organised for the Governor and other Awardees. Most of them that spoke yulogies the Governor for his development effort in the State and that include the Distinguished Senator from the Central Senatorial Zone in Plateau State from the Opposition Party. In the person of Senator Joshua Chibe Dariye which in his word I am sure you will leave Plateau State better than I met it. This shows he recognises development effort of the present Governor. There was dinning and wining together. However, were all these been done to just camouflage that all is well and we are one? This is a question that will need an answer. Again, most of them that were there are Christians including the Governor who also double as a Pastor. The question I want to ask is whether as Christians we do practice what we preach? I remember vividly, that the Bible told us that Jesus Christ forgave us unconditional regardless of our dirty, wicked, malicious and cruel hearts against him and our fellow Brothers and Sisters. All our wickedness did not stop him from forgiving us our sins. I wonder why people who claims they are one cannot forgive and forget just because of politics. The question is, what kind of politics are they playing? Is it for the interest of the State or their selfish interest? No wonder, I can now see why National institutions are been relocated from the State to other States yet nothing is been done about it because we have a divided home. Our leaders are blindfolded by greed and selfishness and cannot fight for the common good of Plateau. Oh God! Thank you Lord for making me a Shiwer man, the Love of my community usually supercede personal interest. How I wish the entire State will see things that way. Gomwalk Dechi Joseph, saw Plateau as first his home before his village. So if some leaders who claims they are taking after him should have think of Plateau as a whole and not just their communities. So if PDP want to win, must do the right thing and even at the National Level to intervene in the issues of some states or else?...... The good thing is that those contesting for the governorship seat on the Plateau are indigenes of the State regardless of their Party. And there are credible and very good people in all of these parties. PDP is not a religion even some people do change their religion so PDP should not be surprise if State electorates decided to vote another party by the way, it is the candidate and not the party. In essence, what I am saying it that Parties must know their stand in the democratic process and their responsibilities. The interest of the State should also be seen as above all interest regardless of who is the Governor. And the collective interest of Plateau should be above all interest and forgiveness should be preached and encourage as we practice the so-called democracy on the Plateau. So, leaders should stop deciding or imposing candidates on the electorates. There ate so many good people on the Plateau cut across all parties and is just because they have never gotten the opportunity to rule. So for that reason, no body should assume the position of God for Plateau and we should also remember that, what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. So many issues on my mind but just to start with this intro. However, we should always welcome the prodigal son because the Bible tells us so. Leadership is from God and he can always give it to someone we never wanted him to be. In all that, there is always a lesson for us to learn and make good corrections for a better tomorrow. Pls lets unite as Plateau People before we loses our heritage and all the good things God has bestored on our land either naturally or due to man activities. God Bless Plateau State!
