She slipped through the doors just before they shut, and collapsed down on an empty seat, trying to catch her breath. She closed her eyes, but instead of darkness she saw the afterimage of the chaotic patterns and dancing lights that had radiated from the mirror. Billi pressed her fingers into her skull to stop the dizzying sensation. It took a few minutes for the colors to fade and spinning in her head to settle down. She leaned back and sighed.
