Holidays can be hard. Sure, theyre supposed to be a wonderful time of year. But for many of us, they can bring up sad memories of lost loved ones and nostalgia for happier times past. Shaking off the holiday blues and any desire to cling to the past may be easier than you think. The answer can be found in a little bottle of Honeysuckle Flower Essence which is taken internally either under the tongue or in a glass of water. Flower essences are herbal infusions or decoctions made from the flowering part of the plant, which specifically address emotional and mental aspects of well-being. The first 38 flower remedies were formulated by British physician Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s; today, new remedies from other plant species are now available through other sources. Dr Bach said that Honeysuckle Flower Essence is for those who live much in the past, perhaps a time of great happiness, or memories of a lost friend, or ambitions which have not come true. They do not expect further happiness such as they have had.” I personally discovered when my children went away to college that this remedy is a sure cure for empty nest syndrome. * Keyword: Homesickness, nostalgia, bereavement * Human indication: For over-attachment to past memories good or bad, can’t let go of the past, homesickness. * Positive qualities: Being fully in the present; acceptance of current life conditions * Patterns of imbalance: Nostalgia; emotional attachment to the past, longing for prior condition which seems more appealing (~fesflowers)
