Holy Gospel. Friday, 04 July. Book of Amos 8,4-6.9-12. Hear this, you who trample the needy, to do away with the countrys poor. You say, When will the new moon that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath, to output the wheat We will reduce the extent, increase the price, falsifying the scales to defraud;? we buy with money the weak and needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the refuse of the wheat up. On that day, saith the Lord I will make the sun go down at noon, and in the day of darkness will cover the earth; I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; I will make all gird sackcloth was and all they may shave their heads; Ill be in mourning as for an only son, and its end will be like a bitter day. The days will come, says the Lord, when I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the word of the Lord. Carried forward from one sea to another, and they shall wander from north to east, searching for the word of the Lord, but will not find. Psalm 119 (118), 2.10.20.30.40.131. Happy that meet your requirements and seek him with all your heart I seek you with all my heart: do not let me stray from your commands. My soul is consumed, always wanting your decisions. I chose the path of truth, your decrees put before me. I wish thy commandments: Revive me in Your righteousness. I open my mouth and aspire deeply, because I long for your commandments. Matthew 9:9-13. Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collection table, and said, Follow me. He got up and followed him. While he was at table in the house, many publicans and sinners came and sat down to eat with him and his disciples. Seeing this, the Pharisees said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?. Jesus had heard, he replied: It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners. Commentary of the Gospel Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938), religious Small daily, 283 I am meek and humble of heart Oh one God in the Trinity, I love you as so far no human soul has loved you; and although I am particularly miserable and tiny, however very deeply threw the anchor of my trust in the abyss of Your mercy, O my God and Creator. Despite my great miserym not afraid of anything, but I hope eternally sing the hymn of glory. Do not hesitate any soul while alive, even the most miserable, everyone can become a great saint, because great is the power of Gods grace. To us to not only oppose the action of God.
