Holy Holidays Everyone, It’s that time of year again. The Salvation Army bell is ringing at all the store entrances, colored lights adorn houses, trees are up and decorated, and sales abound to entice shoppers. This is all the superficial stuff…and yet it is the most wonderful time of the year. Christ in Christmas cannot be removed. His visit is documented in history! He is the One who brought Peace on Earth! The Word tells us in Psalm 105:2-4 Sing to Him, sing praise to Him: tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. My prayer is that we, His people, do just that! Christmas is the perfect opportunity to adore our God; our Beloved. No one on this earth loves us as deeply as He does. No one has sacrificed more for you and me. The world packs all kinds of expectations into this holiday and many of them will not be realized. Our hope, however, is in the One who loves us unfailingly. One of my greatest joys at Christmas time are date nights by the tree. I love to turn the tree lights on, light all the candles and sit with my Lord. It is so beautiful and my heart just fills to overflowing. All the twinkling lights remind me how He took me out of darkness into the light, and He continues to keep my heart and mind in His light. I sit there and adore Him. I sense His presence with me and my Christmas is praise and rejoicing. Christmas is advertised as many things, but it is holy and completely Christ. You have that. You have the Savior of the world looking over you and loving you. Rejoice in Him. Glory in Him. This is what we were made for! God inhabits the praises of His people, so let’s praise Him and spend the holiday with our God! There is no safer, more loving relationship than our love relationship with Him! I want to send my love to you this Christmas. I do pray over you, and hope with all my heart that you enjoy your Beloved this holiday. He is waiting to spend it with you. In Christ, Sharon Miles
