Home. Exhausted. Satisfied with this years C2E2 experience and loot haul (which wasnt terribly budget busting. Much.). The last three days have been absolutely amazing. Both panels were wildly successful, Ive been extraordinarily lucky in the people Ive met and been able to work with (and will hopefully work with again in the future), and I just plain had FUN. Thank you to everyone who has supported our panels and what were trying to accomplish in fandom and geek culture. The fact that youre coming out in such large numbers proves to cons like C2E2 that these discussions arent just important, theyre WANTED. Well have video of the panels up hopefully early next week. There are too many people to tag to say thank you, but in particular, my fellow panelists and friends: Jeffery Smith, Mary Anne Mohanraj Mary Robinette Kowal, Karlyn Meyer, Sooshe Bot, Erin Tipton, Laura Koroski, Dawn Xiana Moon, Johnny Grey, Kate Lansky, and Isabel Schechter, for giving hands down, the best intro to a panel Ive ever heard. Thank you to Thomas Glen for lending the camera for recording Saturdays panel, and to Michael Silberman for recording Fridays panel. And of course, Jesse Lex, whose love and support has literally resulted in being injured in the line of duty (minor injury thanks to an errant tripod malfunction). To conclude, Im going to quote Jesse here: Hey denizens of #C2E2, take things easy for a bit, regain your strength. Dont let the #ConCrud win. I dont know about you, but Im taking his advice - the rest of the night is going to involve tea, good food, and relaxing on the couch before getting a good nights sleep (because holy moley do I have a stack of emails to send/reply to tomorrow).
