Home & Tribal Affairs Department on Friday banned the entry of foreigners and 215 firebrand speakers and ulema from across the country into the province to ensure peace during Muharram. The movement of 76 local firebrand speakers and ulema was redistricted to their respective districts. Main domain was to maintain law in 26 settled districts and other parts of the province. Federal government and other quarters concerned requested to issue necessary instructions to all concerned in this connection. Provincial government had completed its state of preparedness and was on high alert for the forthcoming Muharram. The steps have also been taken to ensure maximum and foolproof security arrangements during Muharram, added the communication. The provincial government in the Home Department had decided to impose a ban on the entry of all foreigners working with firms, companies, NGOs, International non-governmental organizations (INGOS) and UN bodies to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the forthcoming Muharram. The step was taken for maintaining law and order and to avert any untoward incident. The firebrand speakers and Ulema banned till the filling of the story were 215 from all over the country as well as Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK). They included 106 form Punjab, 16 from Sindh, nine from Balochistan, three from AJK and five from Islamabad. Up to 76 local firebrand speakers movement was restricted to the districts of their living.
