Home for the Holidays - LACEY Lacey is an 11 year old gorgeous boston terrier that was aquired by NEBTR as an owner surrender. Her previous owners were elderly and have dimentia and altzheimers and were no longer able to care for her. They were unable to tend to her most basic needs such a pottying and normal grooming care. She has learned so much in the short time in her foster home. She is learning what a treat is and she is loving them. She is so easy going and loves to be around you all the time. she loves to sleep above your head on the top of the couch but if you dont mind she prefers to sleep with you in your bed. She is crate trained and doesnt mind sleeping in there either. She gets along with other cats and dogs. She gets along well with children too. She snuggles in the crook of my sons legs and sleeps there when he watches tv. She would need to be tested with young children as she hasnt been around them. But i feel she would do fine as long as they are dog savy and are watched. She loves long walks and car rides. She does have a mid grade heart murmur and a lump just below her collar. It was aspirated with no clear results. Because of her age, and with vet agreeing, we determined not to have them surgically removed. Other than that she is very healthy and is looking for her furever home. She will do great with a family with other pets. She will do great in a home where she isnt left alone for extended periods during the day. Lacey is currently being fostered in Shavertown, PA and her adoption fee will be $150.00 We require an application, phone interview and homecheck.
