With the 2013 Graduation of my oldest daughter Rachel I have been reminiscing about my High School days from 68 thru 72 at "Bishop Gallagher" The school back 68 to 72 were the Christian Brothers and other Lay teachers got off pounding on students who did not conform to their way of thinking.I remember Brother Glen grabbing my neck and lifting me off the ground because he thought I was smoking in the bathroom. He hit a guy in the face so hard he broke the braces in his mouth. Lay teachers like Phil Stachpoole would torment student who were not a football players and student who did not do well in class with embarrassment tactics, such as cleaning the chalkboard erasers with a students hair, pinching the nose till it bled,throwing his key chain at them, belittling them verbally in front of the classroom students. Imagine this type of teacher with your children today.
