Home from State Fair. Amelia did great. 1st time showing goats. No other kids from Ulster County. No coach other than "Mom." 6th place in goat products identification (out of 15-20 kids). 9th place out of 17 in junior showmanship. 2nd place of 3 with her jr doe. 4th place of 7 with her sr doe. 4th place individual in dairy goat judging out of over 10 kids. 1st place team judging competition. She competed in goat bowl, goat science contest, goat obstacle course, milking contest. Her Royal Palm hen was champion turkey. Her Pilgrim goose was reserve champion goose. Her Mille Fleur hen was 3rd place. She did well in poultry showmanship. Participated in Avian Bowl (but I think her buzzer was broken). SHE IS AMAZING!!!!! We had a great time. What a wonderful experience. She stayed up there to work at the county 4H booth.
