Homeboy from Tlebebe, Itsoseng is taking the world stage. Proud moments: SPRINTER Simon Magakwe is gearing himself up for a big showdown with the worlds fastest man, Usain Bolt, in the Czech Republic next month. The two athletes have confirmed their participation in the World Challenge meeting scheduled for Ostrava on June 17. While the Jamaican is still to confirm which event he will be competing in, the South African national record holder is registered in both the 100m and 200m events. Magakwe made history by becoming the first South African to break the 10 seconds barrier for 100m, running 9.98sec at the South African Athletics Championships in Pretoria last month. The 28-year-old is the fastest 100m athlete in the world this year. Magakwe is said to be over the moon, hoping the presence of Bolt will help him run a faster time. With Usain in the same competition, you never know what will happen in Ostrava, said Magakwes coach Eugene Thipe. Maybe some new records will be set.
