Homeowners: We found a great little house on Kenilworth Lake near Stone Mtn, but the ginormous basement leaks water when it rains, and theres a drain. It was musty as soon as we entered the basement while it was raining. However, there was no mold or musky smell in the house. The owner has been renting the house for 30 years, and there are pallets stacked against the basement walls for storage. Apparently no one has complained about mold or wetness. My question is, if we put a couple of dehumidifiers down there, even with the leakage, will it protect our things and Joshuas tools from rust and mold?
