Honda Philippines, (HPI) and players of Gilas Pilipinas, our national mens basketball team, had a contract signing on June 28, 2014 at the HPI office in Tanauan, Batangas. HPI chose the Gilas Pilipinas players as the endorser of their Wave 125 Alpha underbone, the successor of the Wave 100. Present at the contract signing were HPI President and General Manager Mr. Yasushi Okamoto, HPI Executive Vice President Mr. Fumiyo Sekiguchi and Gilas Pilipinas players Jhapet Aguilar, Jimmy Alapag and LA Tenorio. The Gilas Players then had a fun basketball game with President Okamoto, HPI officials and employees. Afterwards HPI brought the Gilas Players to Walter Mart in Tanauan for a meet and greet with their fans who warmly received Honda and Gilas Pilipinas members.
