Honestly, I have mad respect for all my coworkers and teachers everywhere especially those in daycare and preschool. I never appreciated a teacher so much until I became one and realized all that they deal with! Anyone can love their own child and go above and beyond for them...(some parents are in question though), but it takes some SPECIAL people to love and care for a child thats not their own! A day in the life of a early childhood teacher we not only teach, we become parents wiping noses, tears and bumbums, we are waitresses feeding and serving these kids food 4times a day, we are house keepers that do classroom laundry, we are janitors, that sweep, mop, wipe tables take out trash 2-3 times a day, we are artists forever drawing, coloring, cutting, glueing etc. to decorate our rooms with kids art, we are reporters writing daily notes to parents keeping them updated on everything their child does, or ate in their day, and last but not least we are nurses applying band aids, cleaning boo boos, applying rash creams, body lotions, etc. All while trynna make sure these kids dont kill each other or them selves throughout the day. I can see why educators go INSANE. One would never understand unless you were caring for 15- 20 kids 8 hours a day, 5days a week. Parents plz do your jobs and discipline your children when they are wrong, and love on them so they dont act out in class BC they are desperate for attention. It is not our job to turn these kids in to respectful, civilized beings especially given EVERYTHING else we already do! They may just be babies now but the things they do will not be cute nor acceptable after a while. And secondly dont expect us to do anything you yourself dont follow through with at home when they are on your watch!! Many people have ONE job maybe TWO..granted many jobs are stressful, and hardcore, but imagine a day in the life of an early childhood educator!!!? Playing five other roles all while keeping your kids safe and praying they learn something! Some respect and help in raising your kids right is all we ask.. #nojoke #hardcorejob #RESPECT #ventsesh #exhausted #lordhelpus
