Honestly my girl Kate Steiner just posted a status that really made me think. And to be honest, I agree with her. I love tattoos and tattoo culture, but I hate the fad its becoming. A couple college kids get one or two dumb tattoos on them and soon every other status they post is #tatted or some bullshit like that. Just because you dress like a pin-up girl and have a fancy cupcake and some bows tattooed on you, it doesnt mean youre a part of this culture. It means youre like every other cookie-cutter dumbass that has those same tattoos and same hairstyle and same clothes. My tattoos are mine, and mine alone. No one else has any of the tattoos that I have on my body. And thats what tattoo culture is. Self-expression through the collection of body art. Not something that looks cool and you do just to be cool or seem edgy in your college years because its your rebellious freedom phase.
