Hope youve been practising your rotated triangles, one of the most - TopicsExpress

Hope youve been practising your rotated triangles, one of the most recommended postures for autumn. Thought Id share a couple of tips, which I hope will help you to go deeper into the pose. * Ensure the back of the body is well stretched out before practice, hamstrings (back of thighs), gastrocnemius & soleus in the calves, and the low back. Time spent stretching these out, combined with core strength work will never be lost in rotated triangle. * The feet need to be firmly rooted into the earth, they are your strength & stability, take time to feel them spread and ground. * Remember to lengthen your spine first, then hinge from the hips, keeping the sternum in the same line as the sacrum joint, so if you cant reach the floor without rounding the back use a block. * Keep the hips level, rotate from the soft tissue around the navel and make sure that rotation then eases all the way up the spine, so that the collar bones will naturally open & the top arm raise without any effort. Refining the physical elements of a posture allow you to relax into the pose and get into the deeper energetics much faster. Let me know how you get on.
