Horror Movie Marathon 10/10 Movie 10 - Cube 1997 Scare Factor - Scary for the brain This is an interesting movie that not many people are aware of. Probably because its Canadian. Its not really a horror movie. More like a psychological sci-fi horror. Horror in the sense that the movies deaths are pretty good. But it deserves some credit because the premise is kind of interesting. A group of unrelated strangers awake in a strange contraption called the Cube. This contraption is made up of thousands of four sided cubed rooms. All of these rooms have doors that lead into another room and each room has a sequence of particular numbers. Some of these rooms have traps in them that will kill whoever is in them. So this group of people must make it through the Cube in order to get out and the group soon learns that everyone plays a certain role in order to make it through. The movie isnt terrifying. But it has math in it, and it could possibly drive you crazy. The acting isnt the best. Infact there are lines in this movie that will make you laugh out loud. The character Quentin is so hilarious that it almost ruins the film entirely. But all-in-all it works and remains a favorite of mine.
