My favorite line in this article is, Education is not a race-it is a journey. She mentions that her son has 14 hours of testing. I counted standardized tests with my seventh graders this year. With pre and post tests (including parish mandated Data Director) they took SIXTY standardized tests (assuming we didnt miss any).The public doesnt know this. They only hear about one week of LEAP and iLEAP. We need the parents/publics help on this. Great article with many parallels to Louisiana.
