House Approves $7.5 Million for ALSRP This afternoon, the United States House of Representatives passed the FY15 Department of Defense Appropriations Act and included an additional $7.5 million to continue funding for the ALS Research Program (ALSRP) at the Department of Defense. If enacted, the bill would bring total funding for the program to $57.5 million! Thank you to everyone who made the trip to Washington D.C for National ALS Advocacy Day and also to those who participated in our virtual Advocacy Day. Your outreach to Members of Congress in support of the ALSRP has helped make this funding possible. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!! Next, the Senate must act on its version of the legislation. The Senate is aiming to take up their FY15 Department of Defense Appropriations spending measure in early July. We will keep you updated as the legislative process moves forward. Thank you again for helping to make a difference in the fight against ALS!
