Ask for a little help from your house inmate.Be seated in a room and try to listen to various activities going around.Can you hear the unsettling sound of utensils tapping or scraping of dishes, coming from the kitchen, sitting in some other room? 2) Open and shut the door of your room slowly and randomly. Ask your house inmate to open and shut the door of your room when you are not that conscious or occupied with some other work. Yet if you are able to hear the sound then you are fine but if not then its time that you go for a check up. 3) Toss a coin. Drop a coin on the floor and listen carefully whether you can hear the sound of a coin when it touches the base. If you can hear even the faintest sound then it is good and if not then there can be something seriously wrong with your hearing ability. Tips 1) Do you miss out on words while in a group conversation? 2) Can you hear properly while speaking over telephone? 3) Are you able to follow if someone is talking to you while music is being played to the background? Things You will Need 1) If the home tests conducted do not yield favorable result then you should see an ear specialist. 2) Go for prescribed ear tests and get the right medication. 3) A hearing aid may be needed to make up for the hearing loss you are suffering from.
