How a simple project turns into a vast undertaking. I went to the hardware store to get a new thermostat. After making my purchase my truck wouldnt start. I walked home and came back with Mary and the van to try to jump start it. Turns out the mechanic who last worked on the truck left the positive terminal loose on the battery allowing it to drain completely but not recharge. Could not jump start the truck. Went home to get tools and then to the auto store to buy a new battery, installed and truck started. Took old battery back to the auto store for recycling and core credit (money back). Came home, ate lunch and watched an episode of Star Trek. Installed new thermostat after much cursing and fussing. Total time for a simple project: @5 hours.
