How bout work? Obviously, if the zombie apocalypse comes, labor for wages will be obsolete. But what about surviving the normal ups and downs of our brave new economy with your finances intact? Seems to me the flashy, get rich quick jobs are the first to go. Anything dealing with equity trading, real-estate, business sales, or middle management which tends to bloat during times of prosperity and crash with economic contraction following a business model that no longer works. Ive seen over the last 20 years that jobs manufacturing or managing the distribution of essential products or services have remained stable or even flourished during economic hard times. People need to eat, drink, get around and stay warm. Utilities, farming, and warehousing have all done at least alright in the recent hard times. Thoughts, opinions?
