How can I close the gaps? 10-15-14 By Elizabeth Adams At the beginning of the year I answered the Where am I now? questions and I then answered the Where am I going? question so I would move towards a new goal. These were my answers to those two questions: Where am I now? 9-4-14 Physically: to help my physical self I walk my dog, run, and play field hockey. Mentally: the way I think in school shows my HOWLS in a good way. Socially: I still hang out with friends in and outside of school, also in sports. I still am quite in school and I dont speak up in class. Activities: Im not in a club, but Im doing field hockey and I work at the horse barn down the street. Emotionally: I keep quite about my sad emotions and most of the time I am open about my happy ones. Where am I going? 9-15-14 Physically: on 9-14-15 I went of a 3 mile walk for Arthritis. I also play field hockey 4 days a week. Mentally: I am improving on my goal to get a better a better mile time by running outside of school and in sports. Socially: I am working on making new friends and to become more social. Emotionally: I do and will continue to keep my sad emotions to myself and show more of my happy ones. As you can see those are my goals and now I will answer the How can I close the gaps? questions to see if I have made my goals. How can I close the gaps? 10-15-14 Physically: I am happy with my body, my physical self, and my improvement. Mentally: I work well with other people and I am meeting all of my HOWLS goals. Im still working on my mile time. Socially: I have been talking more in class and I have made new friends, kids that lived already in York and new kids to our school. Emotionally: a lot of my friends know when Im happy or sad without me having to tell them. They help me when Im sad. When Im happy the continue to put a smile on my face.
