How far have Muslims gone away from the Quran, and the true message of God Almighty? We are witnessing crimes of passion in the name of God these days by certain Muslims, who call themselves Jihadists or those who think they are carrying out God’s plans by eliminating so-called infidels from planet Earth. We also see that Muslims are fighting with other fellow Muslims, and killing innocent children and families. Dividing those who believe in God has been Satan’s great weapon of destruction. [30:31] You shall submit to Him, reverence Him, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and—whatever you do—do not ever fall into idol worship. [30:32] (Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have. [3:103] You shall hold fast to the rope of GOD, all of you, and do not be divided. Recall GODs blessings upon you-you used to be enemies and He reconciled your hearts. By His grace, you became brethren. You were at the brink of a pit of fire, and He saved you therefrom. GOD thus explains His revelations for you, that you may be guided. [3:105] Do not be like those who became divided and disputed, despite the clear proofs that were given to them. For these have incurred a terrible retribution. The above verses of Quran clearly tell us that we should not be divided as believers of One God. The question arises, what causes these divisions amongst the followers of One God? According to my understanding under the light of Quran, we see that each time a Messenger came to people, they would reject the new message and because of jealousy, they would not accept the new Messenger of God. [2:109] Many followers of the scripture would rather see you revert to disbelief, now that you have believed. This is due to jealousy on their part, after the truth has become evident to them. You shall pardon them, and leave them alone, until GOD issues His judgment. GOD is Omnipotent. [2:213] The people used to be one community when GOD sent the prophets as bearers of good news, as well as warners. He sent down with them the scripture, bearing the truth, to judge among the people in their disputes. Ironically, those who received the scripture were the ones who rejected any new scripture, despite clear proofs given to them. This is due to jealousy on their part. GOD guides those who believe to the truth that is disputed by all others, in accordance with His will. GOD guides whoever wills in a straight path.* [3:19] The only religion approved by GOD is Submission. Ironically, those who have received the scripture are the ones who dispute this fact, despite the knowledge they have received, due to jealousy. For such rejecters of GODs revelations, GOD is most strict in reckoning. [42:14] Ironically, they broke up into sects only after the knowledge had come to them, due to jealousy and resentment among themselves. If it were not for a predetermined decision from your Lord to respite them for a definite interim, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the later generations who inherited the scripture are full of doubts. [45:17] We have given them herein clear commandments. Ironically, they did not dispute this until the knowledge had come to them. This is due to jealousy on their part. Surely, your Lord will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding everything they have disputed. Jealousy was the reason Satan created a feud in the High Society and created a division among God’s creations. If we as Muslims/Submitters to God, who happen to have the final and complete Word of God had followed these commandments by not making a distinction amongst God’s Messengers, we could have avoided the division among all major sects of Monotheistic religions, and had rather worked towards the unity of all religions by following the word of God alone. [2:136] Say, We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters. [2:285] The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in GOD, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers: We make no distinction among any of His messengers. They say, We hear, and we obey.* Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny. [3:84] Say, We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters. [4:150] Those who disbelieve in GOD and His messengers, and seek to make distinction among GOD and His messengers, and say, We believe in some and reject some, and wish to follow a path in between; [4:152] As for those who believe in GOD and His messengers, and make no distinction among them, He will grant them their recompense. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. Unfortunately, Muslims have broken this major commandment by: (a) Inserting the name of Prophet Muhammad in Shahadah (the first pillar of Islam) (b) Associating themselves as the Ummah of Muhammad, rather than believers of One God (c) They did the same as previous generations like Christians and Jews, while having the privilege of receiving God’s Fully Detailed Book, they could have prevented repeating the same mistake. (d) Idolizing Prophet Muhammad and not worshiping God alone Today we see further division amongst Muslims themselves, by not following the Quran alone, and creating several sects amongst themselves. These sects are fighting amongst themselves (Shia, Sunni, Wahabi, Dew Bandi, Ismaili, Mirzai, and so on..). Clearly, going away from Quran has taken away the peace and prosperity of such Muslim nations, and Satan has been successful to cause chaos amongst them.
