How much people are willing to swallow before they have had enough? How much of what, specifically, before they take which particular risks? People have different risk tolerances and different perceived degrees of outrage over different particular infringements of their liberty. These all vary from individual to individual. Its subjective valuation from economics all over again. We dont need to develop a *political* consensus over particular outrages and particular proposed remedies. Thats the all or nothing approach of statist democracy. Markets, by contrast, are discrete (as in granularity, not quiet) and it instead behooves us to build an *attitude* consensus -- take risks when perceived profit outweighs perceived risk according to ones own subjective evaluation of each, regardless of statist guilt trips, because you have no moral duty to obey. Do that, and the market will sort it all out -- opening up competition in the industry of law and destroying the states monopoly (and, hence, the state).
