How odd is it that the CDC is involved in this, as if riding a motorcycle was an infectious disease? LOL. Ive thought for a long time that this was coming, but it never seems to happen, which seems strange considering how hard-over the government is on seat belt use. I find a seat belt incredibly annoying and until recently -- when I bought the new Jeep, which dings at me incessantly to don my belt -- I didnt wear one (good thing about my truck is it didnt care more than to just leave a light on the dash glowing at me as reminder). I have to disagree with this statement in the article: Medical opinions vary regarding the safety of helmet use, and the potential injury from their use or non-use. There is no intelligent medical professional on the planet going to say wearing a helmet increases the chance of injury in a crash. That whole the helmet will break your neck and leave you paralyzed crap was propagated by anti-helmet-law coalitions like those ABATE twats. (Bet Ill catch some grief for calling them that.) As for my opinion, you guys know I advocate safety gear. Not because the gooberment says so, but because I value my melon jelly.
