How perceptive, profound and stimulating is Mahatma Gandhis identification of the seven social sins . Each one is so devastatingly relevant in relation to all we encounter in personal and public life today. If church/b u s i n e s s/government groups need an agenda for their study of todays weakness and problems, let them look closely at these seven sins that affect society now as much as they ever did. Politics without principle, Wealth without work, Commerce without morality, Pleasure without conscience, Education without character, Science without humanity, and worship without sacrifice. Not everyone will necessarily acknowledge the truth of each. The chosen seven do seem to me, however, to probe deeply into contemporary b u s i n e s s, political and ecclesiastical life.
