How to use your empathic powers to make a room burst with energy! I finally had the time to check out this video Up Town Funk YOU Up! by Bruno Mars and is just what I love about Bruno, he makes you want to get up and move!!! I have been craving finding a local spot that specializes in what I would call the modern Disco scene, and what I mean by this is a place to DANCE!!! When I was in college (and in-between BFs) I was a regular at a club noted for live music in the front, a little pub in the center (to buffer musical venues) and in the back was DISCO”. I would often get all dressed up and go alone and spend the night dancing, sometimes meeting up with friends from college but mostly I was there to dance... I would on occasion ask someone in the corner who seemed lost, up for a spin on the dance floor with me and then I would tell them, go ask someone else to dance now! I was known at this bar (not as a bar fly or a drunk but someone who loved to dance and someone who was emotionally inviting) and I was a tireless dancer (yes, even in high heels). My general happy tone and inclusive nature would turn the dance floor into a place to have fun for all who visited the back room. I know this was not just my inflated ego doing this to my mind, as I have an example to note: I was talking with a few guys from my neighborhood and one guy said I could really dance and with my warmest smile I said: Watch This! I then went over to the oldest man in the bar, who was there with probably his son and obviously felt very out of place... I asked him to dance and his face lit up, we went on the dance floor and he jiggled along with my toned down moves, I smiled at him and occasionally took his hand and grabbed a swirl with his help... When the dance was over he was repeatedly saying ‘Thank-You’ to me and I said to him - Now that I have danced with you all the girls in the place will ask you to dance too, he looked at me surprised and a smile on his face and walked away. I went back to the guys waiting where I had been before and the one I was speaking to said to me: “That was nice of you”... I said just wait, the best if yet to come, all the girls will now ask him to dance because I made the first move... and sure enough a very cute girl went over within minutes to ask him to dance (which continued for the whole evening)... My friend looked at me and said wow, how did you do that? I said when you are a strong character ( an use your Empathic energy) and people watch what you do, they quickly take up your cues and follow through... That older man had a wonderful evening and left happy with his kid. I left the guy I was talking to in amazement but, that is the life of an Empathic, the ability to feel and sometimes move the energy in a room, to make it a place of comfort and fun!! Try it yourself!
