Hubster & I were having an amiable discussion last night about why he never cooks. He claims hes not a good cook. But the main reason (although he refuses to admit it) is he doesnt WANT to be a good cook -- because then he knows hell have to do it occasionally. He said hes just not smart enough to cook. I told him that he does all kinds of intricate, technical things at work with million-dollar equipment and medical procedures and he most certainly is not too dumb to follow a recipe and have it turn out well. Because ANYBODY can follow a recipe. Soooo...NATURALLY... I ended up being too dumb to follow MY recipe and accidentally scorched the hamburger patties I was making for dinner into nasty wee hockey pucks. Im a good cook and dont ruin things often, but when I do, I do it WELL. *G* Hubs looked at his black hamburger and said, I might not be smart enough to follow a recipe, but Im smart enough to keep my mouth shut right now.
