Humans created a humanoid race possessing enhanced DNA and called them Generics, or Gen. They were to be used as a weapon of war, but the war never came, so when the Gen tried to rebel against the humans, the humans tried to wipe them out. A 300 year war ensued and the Gen won, so they went underground into Hollow Earth and built a Utopian society. Meanwhile above ground, a virus drastically thinned the human population. The Gen became more powerful than humans. Cresilius Pryme of the House of Pryme is a Baron, like his father before him. The House of Pryme were former rulers of the Gen, before they became a democracy. He and his Ministers go above ground to search out and kill humans whom they determine are rebel threats. Because of his public speeches and military power, the leaders fear Cresilius will take them from democracy back to an Empire, with him as ruler. Cresilius is disassociated from the Baron leadership position by Council & Potentate. Aiden, younger brother of Cresilius, has an argument with him mom, says he believes in his brother Cresilius. Mom--who secretly supports the human rebellion--tells Aiden his brother Cresilius is human. Mom gave Cresilius DNA altering injections as a boy, made him Gen. Upset at the devastating news about his beloved brother being a lowly human, Aiden murders a human house servant with a five-shot stun. Hes put in jail. Cresilius gets him out, says to meet him in his chamber. In chambers Aiden says hes gonna report Cresilius to Potentate about him being human. They fight. Aidens squeeze runs in, Cresilius stuns her. Cresilius thinks he kills Aiden, but Aiden is awakened from a 3-shot stun by squeeze. Aiden tells on Cresilius presumably, because the next scene shows Cresilius head being shaved, then he is thrown into work-prison. Channeler Makala Chen, energy Healer and channeler of the Callendowa--teachers who desire to help both races--is captured, put to work. She hits on Cresilius in prison about him being the chosen one--a peace maker. Aiden reads from their bible to the Potentate, who has always believed humans to be an inferior race, but is changing his mind. The Potentate declares Cresilius Prime is to be killed. Channeler Chen sleeps with Cresilius, then guards come and take him to see Aiden. Back in the cell, a female guard shines a light on Chen, she turns into her channel and seeks out Cresilius. Aiden tries to smother Cresilius, but is stopped by Chens channel. Aiden fights Chens channel, Cresilius escapes to the outside above ground. Aiden takes Cresilius place as Baron Prime. Brother Wilkstrom, right-hand-man of the Baron and Ministry, wants to handle Channeler Chen, takes her to his private car. Cresilius walks in the sunshine. THE END (leaving the viewer expecting something else to happen, so I believe the film makers intended a sequel). The story is hard for many to follow because it bounces from the present to the past and back in consecutive scenes. One must quickly learn the names and faces to follow the plot. Yet the movie was shot in some expensive surroundings, so it appears to have cost a few million to make (unless the producers are using their own mansions in the film). As far as films go, Ive seen much worse.I found it mildly interesting, a little hard to follow, and lacking of sufficient action to keep it interesting. I liked Kristy Hulslander playing the part of Channeler Makala Chen, look for her in the future.
