Hunger and poverty are no joke. I experienced tough times as a child and it changed me forever. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for people who are struggling to feed their families, better themselves and break the cycles of hunger, abuse and poverty. Im living proof that it can be done, even though its hard. Thats why Im volunteering to answer the phones for our holiday food bank telethon today here at 6abc. I want to personally thank people who are kind enough to call and donate money for the less fortunate. If youd like to call and talk to me and make a donation, Id appreciate it. It not only helps our community, it helps young people and families dig their way out of a hole and become success stories. So its good for the whole community. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
