Hunky Stephen Amell makes clear that gay men can hit on me if they want to Arrow star played gay spin instructor on Queer As Folk in one of first TV roles 06 November 2013 | By Greg Hernandez Chelsea Handler found out this week that she should not just assume a hunky straight actor minds being hit on my gay men. Stephen Amell, star of The CWs Arrow series, taught Handler that lesson when he guested on the late night chatfest Chelsea Lately Wednesday (5 November). After discussing his three-week-old baby, Handler oddly said: I just want to clarify that you are straight and people should not hit on you if theyre men. Replied Amell: People can hit on me if they want to. The audience cheered. Amell was asked about playing a gay spin instructor on the Showtime series Queer As Folk and about being on the first season of the gay-themed supernatural soap Dantes Cove. Of Dantes Cove he said: I was the villain because I was the straight character. I couldnt do the show the second season and in the second season my character went from not gay to really, really, really gay. At the time he was cast in the recurring role on Queer as Folk, Amell told his agent if he didnt get the job he was going to quit acting. I was a spin instructor at the time - still straight, he said, feeling he should have an inside track. It was my first acting job. - See more at: gaystarnews/article/hunky-stephen-amell-makes-clear-gay-men-can-hit-me-if-they-want061113#sthash.bQ2yUPlz.dpuf
