Huntingtons disease is a progressive degenerative neurological disease of later life (although an early form called the Westphal variant is recognised). It is inherited dominantly, and demonstrates anticipation (through tri-nucleotide repeat sequences). This means that it has a more severe phenotype with earlier onset in later generations. Huntingtons primarily consists of abnormal choreaform movements and ataxia. These progressively worsen until the patient is unable to move.
